PAUL RUSSELL TAYLOR

Cromwell- Paul Russell Taylor, 82, of Cromwell passed away September 29, 2023 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

He was born March 16, 1941 in Cromwell to the late Myrl B. and Virginia Sandefur Taylor.  He was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church.

Paul retired from Peabody Coal Company and served nine years in the Army Reserves.  He enjoyed bird hunting and spending time with his grandkids.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Manley Taylor; his two sisters Wanda “Joy” Johnson and Anna Jane “Janie” Phelps; two brothers Myrl Taylor, Jr. and William M. Taylor.

Paul leaves behind two daughters; Sharon (Marvin) Daugherty of Olaton and Sandy (Tony) Birchwell of Beaver Dam; sister Carolyn (Paul) Stewart of Mooresville, IN.  Mr. Taylor was blessed with five grandchildren Seth (Anna) Daugherty of Clarksville, TN, Miranda Mellott of Beaver Dam, Matthew (Sydney) Daugherty of Cromwell, Taylor Birchwell of Reidland, KY and Logan Birchwell of Beaver Dam; three great grandchildren Maverick Mellott, Margaret Daugherty and Aiden Daugherty.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Tim Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in Green River Baptist Cemetery in Cromwell.  Friends may visit with Mr. Taylor’s family from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.

Family request expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
