Zora (Embry) Phelps

OLATON-Zora Embry Phelps, 96, of Olaton died Sunday September 16, 2018 at her home.  She was born in Morgantown to the late John and Mary Beasley Embry.  She was a cook at Ohio County High School, a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and attended Cedar Grove Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Orville Phelps, 2 brothers-Basil Embry and Edmond Embr;2  sisters Gusta Embry Flener. and Golda Embry Calloway.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday September 18, 2018 at Cedar Grove Church with Bro. Marty Cruze officiating.  Burial will be in Oakridge General Baptist Church Cemetery in Butler County.  Visitation will be from 4-7PM Monday and from 1PM until funeral time on Tuesday at the church.  Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.  The Family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Ohio County or Cedar Grove Church, envelopes will be available at the church.  Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com
