HORSE BRANCH - Wilma Lindsey Martin, 85, of Horse Branch, left peacefully for her Heavenly home on Friday, January 16th, 2026, while surrounded by family at Signature Healthcare of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born on September 12th, 1940, to the late Everett Lindsey and Mary Lorena Lindsey Leach.
Wilma was a faithfully devoted member of Horse Branch Church of God, and every moment of her life was spent in service to and in praise of the Lord. She was a strong, hardworking wife, sister, mother and grandmother who gave her all to raising and nurturing her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to her, and she treasured every moment she shared with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Martin; daughters, Sherry Allen Martin and Debra Jane Martin; sons-in-law, Milford Leach and Greg Allen; brothers, Winston Lindsey and William “W.C.” Lindsey; and a sister, Sharon Lindsey.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Patty Leach Martin; her son, Carleton Matthew Martin (Renee); four grandchildren, Jarod Allen (Tara), Joshua Allen (Sarah), Keifer Martin, and Taylor Wendt (Jacob); nine great-grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor, Aaron, Brayden, Paxton, Lily, Elliot, Abigail and Olivia; and seven siblings, Darrell Lindsey, Jarrell Lindsey, Thelma Norris, Patricia Sue Goodwine, Chalmer Lindsey, Curtis Lindsey and Ferlin Lindsey.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. John Calloway and Sister Denna Gaither officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Online messages of condolence may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
