William "W.C." Lindsey

HORSE BRANCH – William “W.C.” Lindsey, 70, of Horse Branch passed away December 17th, 2025 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was born February 24th, 1955 in Hartford to the late Everett Lindsey and Mary Lorena Leach.

W.C. was an avid UK basketball fan, and he coached basketball, baseball and softball. He attended Horse Branch Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Winston Lindsey: sister, Sharon Lindsey; daughter, Samantha Kessinger; and great-granddaughter, C.J. Vanover.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Chris (Baptista) Lindsey, Kevin (Audrey) Lindsey, Sandy (Steve) Vanover, and Alicia (Gene) Haynes; grandchildren, Myka, Maddie, Becca, Colby, Matthew, Josiah, Austin, Heaven, Walker, Caden, Jonathan, and Marietta; great-grandchildren, Jaylen, Jamari, Eric, and one on the way, Hayden; siblings, Wilma Martin, Darrell Lindsey, Jarrell Lindsey, Thelma Norris, Patricia Sue Goodwine, Chalmer Lindsey, Curtis Lindsey, and Ferlin Lindsey.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. David Embry presiding. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. The family welcomes friends to wear UK basketball attire.
