Ronnie Lee Lyons

November 13, 1942 — January 13, 2024

HORSE BRANCH-Ronnie Lee Lyons, 81, of Horse Branch, KY passed away January 13, 2024.  He was born on November 13, 1942 to Edward Lee Lyons and Genevia Dukes Lyons. Ronnie spent most of his life living in Horse Branch where he built his family home.  He loved the country, farming, gardening and fishing, he loved the outdoors and was a handyman of every trade.  He learned heating and air servicing while he served in the Air Force for 5 years.  He could fix anything and if you were a neighbor of Ronnie you could expect fresh grown garden vegetables and him coming to help with whatever needed fixing at your home.

He retired in 2002 from H & W Electric, we know just so he could fish more with his oldest brother Jerry and his beloved best friend Sonny Brownd.  He enjoyed being on KY lake and camping with his family.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 57 years Sheila Stogner Lyons who brought joy, love and the love for canning their fresh garden vegetables together.  His garden seemed to grow bigger and better the longer he was retired.

He is also survived by his brother Jerry Lyons of Owensboro who was his greatest rival on his fishing boat.

He leaves behind a son Brandon whom was his best friend and who will miss their early morning talks of “things to do today”.  A daughter Brandee Rayburn(Jeremy Rayburn) of Ohio who inherited his stubbornness that they often laughed about.  Granddaughters Hayden Lyons of Paducah whom he loved and got to spend time with daily.  Kalee Stafford Vanover(Colby Vanover) who will miss him and the jokes they always played on each other.  He also had a great grandson on the way he was so excited to meet.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father Edward Lee and Genevia Dukes Lyons; two sisters, Sue Bone and Freda Calhoun.

There will be a graveside service for Ronnie 2PM Tuesday at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Olaton, KY with Bro. Jerry Toler officiating.  Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.  Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com
