Centertown- Robert C. “Bob” Doyal, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Ohio County Hospital. He was born in Centertown on June 7, 1927 to the late Forrest and Olivia Chapman Doyal.
Bob was a member of Centertown Baptist Church, served in the United States Marine Corps, was a member of Centertown Masonic Lodge # 714 F&AM, Madisonville Commandery #27 Knights Templar Madisonville , worked for Peabody Coal Company as a dragline operator and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Survivors include his wife Jewel Buck Doyal, son James (Shannon) Doyal of Centertown, 3 grandchildren Leah & Jonathon Doyal and Brandi (Jeremy) Cline, 1 great grandchild and sister Susan (Bill) James of Xenia, OH.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Centertown Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
