Rachel Lee (Lee) Chinn

HARTFORD-Rachel Lee Young Chinn, 94, of Hartford died Tuesday April 23, 2024 at her home.  She was born December 8, 1929 to the late Rev. James Elvis and Beatrice Harford Lee.  She had worked at G.E. in Owensboro, and later at Bob’s IGA in Hartford.  She was a member of New Assembly Church in Hartford. She was preceded in death by her first husband , Albert Young, 2 sons, David Young and Ronnie Young.  Also 3 sisters, Helen Hoover, Fannie Benton and Dorothy Jean Lee Jordan; 4 brothers, C.A. Lee, James T. Lee, John D. Lee and Earl D. Lee, her second husband Ray Chinn and one stepson, Jeff Chinn.

Survivors include 2 sons-Roger Young(Rita) of Palmyra, Indiana and Fred Young(Linda) of Whitesville; a daughters-in-law, Hilda Smith and Connie Young; 9 grandchildren, several grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2:00 PM Friday, April 26, 2024 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Lealin Geary officiating.  Burial will be in Sunnydale Cemetery near Dundee.  Visitation will be from 9AM to 2PM Friday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com
