Phyllis Manaois

HARTFORD – Phyllis Ann Manaois, 72, of Hartford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and family on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, under the care of Hospice of Ohio County after a battle with cancer. Born on August 3rd, 1953, the beloved daughter of late James Swanson and Mable Stoner.

Phyllis was employed with the Ohio County Board of Education for 8 years and worked in the cafeteria. She loved fishing and playing Texas Hold’Em Poker.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 47 years, Roger Manaois; children, David Gassner, Dan Gassner, John Freeman and Salena Manaois; grandchildren, David Gassner, Jr., Megan Gassner, Kaylie Gassner, James Gassner, Alexis Danahey and Tommy Lane; siblings, James (Lena) Swanson, David Swanson and Ron (Sherry) Swanson; sisters-in-law, Janice Tabor and Dorothy Duke; along with several nephews, cousins and close friends.
