Hartford- Phillip D. Shields, 72, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at OHRH in Owensboro. He was born in Edmonson County, Ky on Sept. 23, 1945, son of the late Mancel Earl and Virginia Cummings Shields.
Phillip had worked as a logger, a timber buyer for Young’s Sawmill, a truck driver and most recently crushed cars. He loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Shields.
Survivors include his wife Teresa Shields; sons Robbie (Melissa) and Justin (Gretchen); daughters Julie (Bob), Megan and Spring (Thomas); Grandchildren Michael (Rachel), Alyssa, Alex, Courtney, Rayvenne and John-Thomas; Great grandson Jacob; brother Ricky; sisters Helen (Darrel), Louise, Janice ( Robert) and Joy; several nieces and nephews; his beloved pet Bella.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22. 2018 , at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Tommy Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-6 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
