Naene R Patton

Naene Ruet Patton, 78, of Centertown, passed away on June 7th, 2026 at The Heartford House. She was born on September 6th, 1947, in Hammond, Indiana to the late George Beatty Whitten and Virginia Hill Whitten.

Naene poured her heart into her creative passions. She was well-known throughout the community for her ceramic shop, a deep passion of hers that community members still speak of fondly today. She was also a dedicated, long-time Avon representative and an avid collector, turning her hobbies into lifelong connections with friends and neighbors. Naene worked at Montpelier glove company in Hartford KY until its closure. With an eighth-grade education, she attended Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC), where she successfully graduated as a radiology technician. She went on to touch countless lives in the community, providing care at the Ohio County Hospital for 20 years.

Above all her hobbies and hard work, Naene’s heart was her family. She was a devoted mother, granny, and great granny. She deeply cherished these roles, and her grandchildren and great grands brought an immense, unmatched joy to her life.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children, Ginger (Jeff Wathen) Morehead, Lonnie Lee (Jennifer) Patton, and Anita Patton; six grandchildren, Austin Patton, Coleton Patton, Leslie Fuqua, Sonnie Morehead, Aleecia Plascencia and Noe Plascencia; and 9 great-grands, Wesley, Abigail, Axton, Lillian, Adelin, Avery, Alivia, Clyde, and Kaislee.

Services will be held Thursday, June 11th, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Centertown Cemetery. Online messages of condolence may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
