Mildred Hoover Porter

Hartford- Mildred Hoover Porter, 96, passed away Saturday, August 06, 2016, at the Ohio County Hospital under Hospice care after a brief illness. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado on July 3, 1920 daughter of the late James D. and Edna Ferrell Hoover.
Mildred was preceded in death also by her husband Robert Lee Porter, grandson Jeffrey Smith, brothers Alva and Lewis Hoover, sister Juanita Hoover, daughter-in-law Debbie Quisenberry Porter & son-in-law Johnny Roeder.
Mildred was a homemaker, head cook at Dundee Grade School, also head cook at Professional Care Home in Hartford, was a member of Barnetts Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 sons Bobby Porter and Gary (Polly) Porter of Hartford, 5 daughters Sharon McKay & Joyce (Jerry) Smith both of Hartford, Belinda (Steve) Daugherty of Beaver Dam, Patsy Porter of Fairfax, VA & Cinda Allen of Falls of Rough. 14 Grandchildren, 38 great- grandchildren & 3 great- great- grandchildren.
At the request of Ms. Porter there will be a private memorial at graveside at a later date. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements
