BEAVER DAM-Martha J. Keown-We are heartbroken to announce the death of our mother Martha Keown.  Martha Keown, 88, went to her Heavenly home June 20, 2024.  Martha was born in Princeton, Indiana to the late Edgar and Esther Angle Mounts on August 9, 1935.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Samuel L. Keown; a stepson, Joe Keown; 5 brothers - Charlie Mounts, Darwin Mounts, Leland Mounts, Kenny Mounts and Joe Mounts; and 2 sisters – Janetta Rose Mounts Hoffman and Deloris Mounts Smith.

She was a faithful, long-standing member of Liberty Lighthouse Church of God in Hartford, Kentucky for 28 years.  She along with her late husband served as janitors at the church for 10 plus years.  Martha loved God and everyone knew that.  She would often speak of God everywhere she went.  She loved her family and enjoyed any time she was able to spend with them.  She loved her church family and always enjoyed going to church.  A piece of our heart is missing and we will greatly miss her.

Survivors include three daughters, Patty (Kenny) Calvert from Evansville, Indiana, Tresea (John) Cousert of Evansville, Indiana, and Jeanie (Chris) Maresh of Connersville, Indiana; a son, James E. Lowery from Evansville, Indiana; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services are 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Michael Decker  officiating.  Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery near Rockport, Kentucky.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com
