OLATON - Craig, John Paul Sr., 64, died Sunday April 27, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Yuma, AZ to the late Gloria Fitzpatrick and John H. Craig. He was retired from Philip Morris in Louisville, where he had worked for over 30 years. While he was at Philip Morris he was very active in the BCT Union (Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco Union) he also served as a Chief Union Stewart and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Craig.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Craig Simmons; a son, John Craig; his companion, Brenda Miller; two sisters, Gloria Craig Griffin and Nancy Fitzpatrick (Jerry) Shepard; brother, Donald R. (Helena) Craig; stepdaughter, Angela (Jim) Hamilton; five grandchildren, Hunter and Hailey Craig, Sammy Simmons and Olivia and Noah Hamilton.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, KY, with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Craig Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday.
