Joann (Hudson) Ambs

BEAVER DAM-Joann Ambs, 87, of Beaver Dam died Monday, October 16, 2023 at Ohio County Hospital.  Joann was born in Ohio County to the late Wilsie J. and Opal Moray Peters Hudson.  She was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Grove Church.  Joann was preceded in death by her husband John F. Ambs, a son, Charlie Ambs, her son-in-law, Dwight Morphew and brother-in-law Shelby Gray.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy G. Morphew; 4 sons-William R. “Bobby” Ambs, Larry M. Ambs, Ricky W. Ambs(Rose), Jerry A. Ambs; a brother-Billy R. Hudson(Judy); Rachel Phelps(Merv), Barbara Gray, Laura Hudson, Mary Jones(Earl); 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Services are 2:00PM Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Cedar Grove Church in Olaton with Bro. David Embry officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10AM-2PM Thursday at the church.  Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.  The Family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Ohio County.  Envelopes will be at the church.  Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com
