Jerry D Likens

HARTFORD - Jerry Likens, 77, of Hartford went to his heavenly home on Monday March 24th, 2025. He was born December 7th, 1947, in Hartford to the late Orvel and Mary Douglas Likens.

Jerry was a member of No Creek Community Church, he was a youth leader where he taught 5th and 6th grade Sunday school at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, and served in the Kentucky National Guard. He was very active in his community including roles in the Hartford City Council, Ohio County Fair Board and Kiwanis Club. He retired from Ohio County Schools and Likens Printing Company, which he co-owned with his wife, Shari.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Gini Ruth Tichenor; father-in-law, John Walton Tichenor; and mother-in-law, Virginia Hunter Tichenor.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shari Tichenor Likens; their sons, Jerrod Douglas Likens and Jacob Tichenor Likens; daughter-in-law, Crystal Reker Likens; and two grandsons, Wyatt Tichenor Likens and Arlo Wayne Likens.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 28th, 2025 at 4:00 PM at No Creek Community Church in Hartford. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Courtney Jones and the Hospice nurses.
