CROMWELL – James Edward “Jimmy” Horn, 69, of Beaver Dam (Cromwell), Kentucky, passed away on May 14, 2026 at his home that he cherished for 49 years. He was born on October 11, 1956, to the late James B. and Ella Marie Crabb Horn.
Jimmy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He spent his life working hard, loving his family deeply, and enjoying the simple things that brought him happiness.
Jimmy attended Oak Grove Church of God where he was a member for over 25 years. He cherished his faith and community. Throughout his life, Jimmy worked for KFC, Thomas Industries, Tichenor’s Chevrolet, Roberts Automotive and Hawes Automotive. Lastly, Jimmy, along with his brother Darrell, opened and operated Horn’s Bait Shop. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting coins and baseball cards, fishing, and spending time with those he loved most. He will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to hard work, and the many memories he created with family and friends over the years. He was known as a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Darrell Horn, Debbie Brown, and Melanie Horn.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 50 blessed years, Debra Ann Phelps Horn with whom he built a family that was the center of his life; his children, Felicia (Justin) Geary, Chris (Casey) Horn, Brandon (Brittney) Horn, and Tijannia (Andy) Garcia; his grandchildren, Destiny Miller, Isiah Garcia, Chase Horn (Emma), Aiden Horn, Mackenzie Hobbs, Tyler Horn, Peyton Horn, Gunnar Hobbs, Veyda Horn, Nikya Horn, Sierra Marshall, Maxtin Geary, Mavilynn Geary, and Westin Geary-Wagler; his great-grandchildren, Summitt and Bennett Bertino, Conrad Young, and Leighton Sandefur; and his sister, Kathy Horn.
Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held Monday, May 18th, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Church of God with Bro. Steve Leach presiding. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery.
