Hubert "Hub" Young
March 16, 1924 — January 17, 2017
Hartford- Hubert Lee “Hub” Young, 92, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at the Ohio County Hospital. He was born March 16, 1924 in the Pine Knob Community of Grayson County son of the late Ira and Stella Preston Young.
Hub was preceded in death also by his wife Oma Lindsey Young, two children Diane and Herbert Ray Young, brothers Daymon Earl, Bobby and Gilbert, sisters Clora Dee, Mandy, Mollie, Julie and Nellie.
Hub was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include sons J.C. (Carolyn) Young of Horse Branch, Robert (Kathy) Lindsey of Beaver Dam, Charles (Judy) Lindsey and Dale Lindsey both of Hartford, Norman Lindsey of Gulf Breeze, FL, Ronnie Lindsey of Covington, KY and Dennis (Sherry) Lindsey of Morgantown; daughters Kathy ( Larry) Hayse of Hartford, Mary (Buddy) Daugherty of Beaver Dam and Carmen Lindsey of Beaver Dam.
25 Grandchildren, 55 Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Kenny Sapp officiating. Burial will follow in Sam Porter Cemetery in Grayson County. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
