Goebel Owen Patterson
March 2, 1930 — September 21, 2016
Centertown- Goebel “Buddy” Owen Patterson, 86, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Ky. He was born in Grayson County, Kentucky son of the late Cortis Owen and Gertrude Patterson .
Goebel served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from LTV Steel and attended Centertown Tabernacle.
He was also preceded in death by 5 sisters and 7 brothers.
Survivors include his wife Doris Maddox Patterson; son Darold Owen Patterson; daughters Paulla Marthan Patterson, Barbara Lynn Patterson, Sharon Rae(Dewayne) Piper, Beverly Jean Patterson and Debra Gail (Chuck) Killion; 12 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren and sister Norma Jean Bishop.
Funeral services will be private. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery where military rites will be performed by Ohio County Honor Guard.
