Geraldine Gary

BEAVER DAM – Geraldine Gary, 86, of Beaver Dam passed away June 30th, 2026 at Ohio County Healthcare. She was born November 22nd, 1939 to the late Stephen and Rose Poandl.

Geraldine retired from Ohio County Hospital as a RN where she cared for countless patients with care and dedication. Working in Labor/Delivery gave her an incredible amount of joy and after she retired, she missed that the most. She was a member of Hartford Baptist Church and Campers on Mission. She loved to sing and spend time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two husbands, Ivan Fugate and William Curtis Gary; daughter, Judith Ann Fugate; sister, Elaine Poandl; and brother, Stephen Poandl.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Charlene (Sammy) Walker; grandchildren, Joshua (Leslie) Hall, Bethany (Ramsey) David, Gerritt (Lindsey) Davis, Skylar (Fran) Geary; great-grandchildren, Travis Fugate, Alex Phelps and Jase Davis; and brother, Wayne Poandl.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Morgan Whitmer, Kristin Delaney, and the staff of Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab and Ohio County Hospital for the care they provided.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Gary.
