Ernestine "Tina" Renfrow

Ernestine “Tina” Renfrow, 81, formerly of Peoria, IL, died on Friday, July 3, 2026, surrounded by her children and grandchildren at The Loft in Canton, IL.

She was born to Barney and Katherine Maddox on March 29, 1945, in McHenry, KY. Tina married Paul Goldman in September of 1965 in Peoria. She later married Willard S. Renfrow in November of 1986, in Hartford, KY.

Tina is survived by a daughter, Cori (Brian) Clelland of East Peoria, IL; son, Cullen (Mary) Goldman of Harrison, AR; five grandchildren: Tabitha Goldman, Jenaya Coon, Shaylee Coon, Deirdre Goldman, and Carlton Goldman; and siblings: Barbara Stewart, Roy (Christine) Maddox, Katherine (Donald) Tucker, Judy (Sam) Collins, and Jeff Burris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard and two brothers, Barney Nelson and Raymond Maddox.

Tina was a dedicated Christian. She loved to read and in her earlier years she loved to bake. She was a teacher’s assistant for children with disabilities until her car accident in 1979.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at The Wilton Mortuary. Burial will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, KY, on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam has been entrusted with the burial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brain Injury Association of Illinois.
