Edna Murphy

FARMINGTON - Edna Kathleen Murphy, 94, formerly of Farmington, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at The Woodlands, Texas.

Kathleen was the daughter of the late Fred and Dona Baize of Rosine, Ky. She was a graduate of Horse Branch High School, class of 1938, and was a member of the American Baptist Church of Farmington, Ill. Kathleen was married to the late Edwin Randolph Murphy and they lived in Farmington, Ill., while raising their three sons. Once retired, they moved to Overland Park, Kan. Upon Randolph's death, Kathleen moved to The Woodlands, Texas.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Randolph Murphy; a son, Duane L. Murphy; four sisters, Leora, Bonnie, Delora and Donie; and a brother, Carey Paul Baize.

Survivors include two sons, Donald E. Murphy of Sarasota, Fla., and David R. Murphy of The Woodlands, Texas; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Ky., with Brother Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Rosine Cemetery in Rosine, Ky. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
