Dorothy Jean Brown

Centertown- Dorothy Jean Brown, 88, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at the Ohio County Hospital. She was born in Centertown on July 22, 1928 daughter of the late John Thomas and Opal Bennett Brown.
She was preceded in death by her brother John Thomas Brown.
Ms Brown was a dedicated Christian and a member of Centertown Baptist Church. Her bread Ministry covered many counties in Kentucky and also in Tennessee and Illinois.
Ms Brown was dedicated to a legacy of learning. She taught over 50 years in the Ohio County School System .
Survivors include 2 nieces Patircia Brown Voss (Jeff) and Martha Rebecca Brown
and her sister-in-law Ann M. Mills.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at Centertown Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Walton Creek Cemetery near Centertown. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Gideons International. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
