Debra Jo Ray

Debra Jo (Harris) Ray, formerly of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and most recently of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away on August 15, 2026, following a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 71 years old.

Debra was born on October 11, 1954, in Loyall, Kentucky, to Webster Harris and Ocia Chadwell Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Darryl Ray; her daughter, Stephanie (Don) Click of Katy, Texas; and her beloved grandchildren, Avery and Piper Click.

Debra is also survived by her mother, Ocia Harris; two sisters, Tempa (Nathan) Hohman and Cindy (Billy) Hewett; her niece, Sarah Smith; and three nephews, Taylor Hohman, Jacob Harshman, and Lucas Harshman.

Debra was a woman who found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She was an expert gardener, loved decorating for every season, and enjoyed exploring Kentucky’s state parks with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her father, Webster Harris.

A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Cemetery Chapel in Keith, Kentucky on Tuesday (Aug. 18) at 11:00 am. with her Cousin, Terry Harris, speaking.
