David L James

BEAVER DAM – David L. James, 75, of Beaver Dam passed away March 6th, 2026 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville. He was born May 23rd, 1950 to the late Foster and Corabel Bennett James.

David was a member of McHenry Baptist Church and retired from Perdue where he served as a security officer. He was an avid UK fan. He spent many years as a baseball umpire. Most people knew him as Bones instead of David.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Moore and brother, Lee James.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan James; son, Trampas (Sally) James; grandchildren, Ashley (Sam) Greer, Jalyn Moore, Alexis James, Brianna (Austin) Carden and Xavier James; great-grandchild, M.J. Greer; and brother, Tommy James.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 in the fellowship hall at McHenry Baptist Church. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideons. Online messages of condolence may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
