Darrel L. Leach, 85 of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025. He was born June 24, 1940 in Mount Pleasant, Kentucky, to the late James Claude Leach and Belvie Baize Leach. Mr. Leach retired from National Southwire Aluminum and was a member of Hartford Baptist Church and was the song leader at Ridgecrest Baptist for many years. He was a devout church goer, and hard worker all throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends the most. Most of the time you could catch him on a tractor, working cattle, or in a hay field.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brittany Naue, his siblings, Doris Jean Parks, Floyd Leach, Murlene Miller, Claudine Jones, Roger Leach, Larry Leach, Charlotte White, and his twin brother and best friend, Harrel Leach.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 66 years, Betty Leach; two sons, Ronnie Leach of Beaver Dam and Bryan Leach of Beaver Dam; six grandchildren, Michael (Angela) Leach, Brianna (Zach) Bunch, Emily Leach, Matthew Leach, Sarah Beth Leach, Joey Leach; 13 great grandchildren, Adalynn Leach, Bella Naue, Bryna Naue, Everett Leach, Josiah Naue, Tucker Bunch, Tanner Bunch, Jude Naue, Jackson Leach, Hayleigh, Allison, CJ, Aubrey Herron; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Pastor Greg Hillard, Pastor Steve Leach, & Pastor Clint White presiding. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-7:00 Friday and after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
