Charles Webster "Web" Harris

BEAVER DAM-Charles Webster “Web” Harris, 85, of Beaver Dam died Saturday August 12, 2017 at Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky.  Web was born in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Mae Cooper Harris.  He was a retired coal miner having been President of Sinclair Surface United Mine Workers Local 1342, member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church,  he was former Mayor of Beaver Dam, KY and also served on Beaver Dam City Council, he served as Chairman of the Ohio County Hospital Board, he was on the GRADD Board of Directors and a member of Beaver Dam Jaycees.  Web was a member of Howard Masonic Lodge #18 F&AM of Baxter, KY.  He was preceded in death by two brothers-Cecil Harris and Fred Earl Harris.

Survivors include his wife Ocia Chadwell Harris; 3 daughters-Debra (Darryl) Ray, Tempa (Nathan) Hohman and Cindy (Billy) Hewett; 4 Grandchildren: Stephanie (Don) Click, Taylor Hohman, Jacob (Carrie) Harshman and Lucas Harshman;  4 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Dr. Glenn Armstrong officiating.  Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Harlan, KY with a graveside service at 12 Noon on Thursday.  Visitation in Beaver Dam will be from 5-8PM Tuesday and from 9-11AM Wednesday at the funeral home.  A Masonic service will be held in Harlan at the graveside.  The family request expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The Heartford House.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com
