Brenda Sue (Brown) Phillips

Owensboro- Brenda Sue ( Brown)Phillips, 75, formerly of Centertown, passed away at her home in Owensboro on January 21, 2024.  She was born on June 22, 1948, daughter of the late Rodney D. and Margaret Ethel ( Grant) Brown.

Brenda was a homemaker, a member of Waltons Creek Baptist Church and a member of AARP.  She loved her family, especially those grandbabies.  She also loved quilting, traveling in their RV and shopping.

She was preceded by her infant brother, Bobby Jo Brown; her husband Larry Mitchell Phillips and grandson Zackary Allyn.

Survivors include her son David Eric Hazelip; 2 daughters Melissa Lynn O’Bryan and Heather Karynn (Matthew) Allyn; grandchildren Bradley (Ashlee) Welch, Dylan Amber) Welch, Jeremy (Elizebeth) Hazelip, Grant Allyn, Amber Allyn and Alaina Allyn; 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 , at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Shockley officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
