Billy Gene Himes

Adairville- Billy Gene Himes formerly of Beaver Dam, 83, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at his home. He was born in McHenry, KY on June 24, 1933, son of the late Owen Ford and Wilma Irene Gray Himes.
Bill was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Madisonville, was retired from Peabody Coal Company Ken Surface Mine and was an avid bird hunter.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter Jeanie Runell Himes.
Survivors include his wife Janice Wallace Himes, daughters Lourene Estelle Goley(Teddy) and Betty Ruth Hockenbury(Cledith), 12 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, step-daughter Karen Diane Holcomb(Dover), step-sons Terry W. Flener and Mark W. Flener, Special Buddy Janora Ruth Jones.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Central Grove Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
