Hartford- Barbara Ann Johnston, 67, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Owensboro at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
Barbara was born on July 30, 1948 in Blackey, Ky daughter of the late Ray and Eva Whittaker Jones. She was a Horse Promoter, enjoyed horse riding and loved her dog Sassy.
Barbara was a member of Hartford Christian Church.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers Quinten and Jerry Jones.
Survivors include her husband Ohio County Judge Executive David L. Johnston, brothers LaDon Jones and Thomas Ray Jones, sister Lorena Jones, several nieces and nephews including Shelia James and Charlotte Snodgrass, many great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Durwin Duncan officiation. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
The family ask that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
