Barbara D Hodges

CENTRAL CITY – Barbara D. Hodges, 89, of Central City passed away October 10th, 2025 at Owensboro Health. She was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on January 29th, 1936 to the late Ernest and Effie Gayhart Prater.

Barbara loved flowers and being Chucky’s momma was her life’s mission.

In addition her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings; husband, Frank Hodges, Jr.; and son, Charles E. “Chucky” Hodges.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Frank Hodges (Valisa); daughters, Tina Casto (David) and Tanya Wiggins (Steve); grandchildren, Jessica, Steele, Kelsey, Hannah, Candice, April, Blake, Amanda and Joseph; and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Online messages of condolence may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
