Sharon Denise Crowder Gilburd suddenly passed away Monday, September 10, 2018, at Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Sharon was born January 24, 1953 to the late Kenneth and Virginia Raley Crowder.
Sharon was a graduate of Ohio County High School and Owensboro Business College. She was a former Miss Ohio County 1969-70. She was an executive secretary employed at Kennedy Space Center and also was a real estate agent in Florida. She currently ran her own business in Bowling Green, KY as a jewelry maker. Sharon was also a Commissioned Kentucky Colonel and Admiral.
She is survived by her husband David Gilburd of Bowling Green; a son Wesley Phillips of Bowling Green; a step-son David S. Gilburd of Lincoln, Nebraska; two grandchildren Cobie Phillips of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jasmine of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two brothers Phil Crowder and Steve (Gerry) Crowder of Rosine, KY; one sister Teresa Wright of Greenville, SC and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Marty Bowlds officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church.
The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the church.
