HARTFORD-Robert Daniel “Bob” Black, 59, of Hartford died Monday December 24, 2018 at his home. Bob was born in Detroit, Michigan to Delores Maier Black and the late Marvin Black. Bob was the owner of Black Construction in Hartford, loved UK sports, the Washington Redskins, was an avid fisherman, loved ice cream and was of the Catholic faith. Bob was preceded in death by his brother Bill Black.
Survivors include his wife, The Love of His Life for 34 years, Sara Johnson Black; 2 daughters-Kaitlin (Corey) Glass and Jessika Black; his mother-Delores Maier Black; a brother-Brian (Jennifer) Black; 3 sisters-Barbara (Randy Hawks) Nevill, Betty (Jerry) Fields and Bridget Sexton; his mother-in-law,Kay Johnson; sister-in-law, Keta Black; Chopper Warren-longtime friend and Superintendent of Black Construction; several nieces and nephews.
Services are 2:00 P.M. Saturday December 29, 2018 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam(which was built by Bob Black and Black Construction). Officiating will be Bro. Steve Leach and Bro. Lealin Geary. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Friday and from 11AM until 2PM Saturday at the funeral home. The Family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Ohio County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
