Peggy Ann Payton

Beaver Dam- Peggy Ann Payton, 77, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at OHRH.  She was born in Ohio County on July 31, 1940, daughter of the late Geoffrey and Mildred Woosley Sandefur.

Peggy was a homemaker and a member of Independence Baptist Church

Preceded in death by brothers Ray and Rondall Sandefur.

Survivors include her husband Norman “Shorty” Payton; son Rondall (Kim) Payton; daughter Norma (Kent) Stevens; grandchildren Jeffrey (Ericia) Payton, Cindy (Michael) Benitez, Clinton “CJ” Nanney; great grandchildren Damion Payton and Emma Benitez;sister Barbara (Don) Smith; brothers Wendell Sandefur, Bill (Wilma) Sandefur, Geoffrey (Evelyn) Sandefur, Jerry (Beverly) Sandefur; sisters-in-law Willie Maude Cook and Betty Rae Howard.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday , Sept. 5, 2017, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Jerry Toler officiating.  Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry, KY.
