Leanna Faye (Shown) Hoover

Hartford- Leanna Faye Hoover “Gram”, 77, died Wednesday night, April 10, 2019 at Signature Healthcare Hartford after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  Born January 18, 1942 to the late William Shown and Evelyn Toth.  She was an amazing mother and grandmother who will be remembered for all the memories she gave her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was an excellent cook and loved cooking for others.  She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. A former dietitian, homemaker and gardener who proclaimed she could do anything.

Mrs. Hoover also was preceded in death by her husband; William A. Hoover; brother Wilford Junior Shown; grand daughter Rachel McBride; step-son Jim Hoover and son-in-law Paul West.

Those left with her memories include her two children, son William McBride (Lesia) of Hartford and daughter Julie West(Chuck Goldsberry)of Owensboro and daughter-in-law Faye Hoover of Hartford. Her sister Rita Pilkington(Mike) of SC.  Grandchildren Jennifer and Brian Morgan of Utica; Constance and Tom Lifford of Michigan; Hannah and Robbie Porter of Hartford; Heidi and Russell Camp of Utica; Ryan McBride of Hartford; Jacob Tucker of Owensboro; Mike Hoover of Hartford; Randy Hoover of Hartford. 16 great grandchildren and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and step-family.

A pirvate memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.  Arrangements will be provided by Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  The family would like to thank Hospice of Ohio County and Signature Healthcare of Hartford for their support.
