DAVID C. FORT

Hartford- David C. Fort, 70, went to be with Jesus on November 10, 2018.  He passed away peacefully at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

David was born on August 21, 1948 in Hartford, KY to Henry and Mary Reba Feemster Fort.  He graduated from Owensboro Senior High School where he met his sweetheart, Polly Evans Fort.  They married on July 2, 1966 and welcomed two children.  David dedicated 32 years of work to Montpelier Glove Company.  He was an avid hunter and NRA Member.  He loved the outdoors and was a very witty character.

David was preceded in death by baby sister Sharon Donnittia Fort and parents Henry and Mary Reba Feemster Fort of Hartford.

He is survived by his wife Polly Evans Fort; children Tracy Forte of Hartford; son Jamie Fort of Beaver Dam; grandchildren Luke Fort, Chris Fort, Leah Mosgrove, Hannah Mosgrove; he was expecting his first great grandchild in May of 2019; sister Carma Fort Daugherty of Butler County; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam .  Burial will follow in Sunnydale Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Wednesday.
